For Prop Firms & Funds

Turn the edge in your traders' heads into systems your firm owns

Profitable desks run on a few skilled traders, manual execution, and spreadsheets. That works until it has to scale. We turn what your traders already do into automated, monitored, risk-controlled systems, with firm-level limits, kill switches, and a full audit trail, owned entirely by your firm.

Where prop desks lose their edge

These are the patterns we see when a firm with profitable traders tries to scale. None of them are trading problems. All of them are engineering problems.

Your edge is key-person risk

Your best strategies exist only in a trader's head and a spreadsheet. If that trader leaves, burns out, or has a bad quarter, the firm's P&L goes with them. Nothing is written down in a form a system can execute.

Manual execution can't scale

One trader can watch one or two accounts during one session. Scaling to ten accounts or 24-hour crypto markets means hiring more people who each execute slightly differently, and the differences compound.

No firm-level risk layer

Risk lives in each trader's discipline. There is no independent layer that enforces per-trader loss limits, halts an account at max drawdown, or gives a partner a kill switch that works at 3am on a Sunday.

No audit trail across the desk

When a partner asks what happened yesterday, the answer is assembled from broker statements and memory. There is no unified live view of positions, P&L, and risk usage, and no log of every order the desk sent.

Backtests and live quietly diverge

The strategy that backtested at 1:2 fills at 1:1.7 live, and nobody is measuring the gap. Slippage, fees, and execution delay eat the edge trade by trade while reports still show the research numbers.

Deliverables

What D&T Systems builds for your firm

Each engagement is scoped to your desk. These are the building blocks we combine based on your strategies, accounts, and risk requirements.

Strategy automation with parity verification

Your traders' rules codified into automated strategies, then verified: live fills compared against backtest expectations, trade by trade, so you know the system trades what was researched and exactly how much they differ.

Firm-level risk middleware

An independent risk layer above every strategy and account: per-account and per-strategy loss limits, drawdown-from-peak halts, position caps, and a remote kill switch a partner can trigger from a dashboard or a Telegram message.

Multi-account execution and allocation

One strategy instance fans out orders to any number of accounts with per-account sizing and limits. Add a funded account or change allocation without duplicating configuration or hiring another pair of hands.

Monitoring, alerting, and audit trail

Prometheus metrics and Grafana dashboards for live P&L and risk across the desk, instant Telegram/Slack alerts for fills, errors, and limit triggers, and a durable log of every order for review and compliance.

Clean data pipelines

Tick and OHLCV data with continuous contract handling, session filtering, and gap checks, stored in TimescaleDB. Every backtest runs on the same clean data, so results are repeatable and comparable across strategies.

Secure deployment and handoff

Dockerized deployment on your VPS or AWS account, runbooks for common failure modes, and full source code handoff. The firm owns everything: no lock-in, no revenue share, no dependency on us to keep trading.

Markets

Markets we run live

We trade several of these markets ourselves with real capital. Direct experience with ES and NQ on NinjaTrader, BTC perpetuals on Bybit and Hyperliquid, and FX on MetaTrader 5 means we know the session, margin, and liquidity quirks before we write code.

Platforms

Platforms we build on

We build on whatever your desk already runs. When a strategy outgrows its platform, we move it to a custom Python stack against the exchange or broker API directly.

Process

How an engagement works

From the first call to a validated system running alongside your desk typically takes four to eight weeks depending on how many strategies and accounts are in scope.

01

Diagnostic call

30 minutes to understand your strategies, account structure, current risk process, and where manual execution is costing you. Free, and useful even if we never work together.

02

Desk audit and written scope

We review how the desk actually operates: strategy rules, execution workflow, account setup, risk practice. You get a written scope covering what gets automated, which risk controls get added, and in what order.

03

Build and test in staging

Development in a staging environment against replayed market data. We simulate connection drops, limit breaches, and partial fills before anything touches a live account.

04

Parallel validation

The automated system runs alongside your manual desk in paper or small size. We compare fills, P&L, and behavior against the traders it mirrors before any cutover.

05

Handoff and support

Full documentation, runbooks, source code, and a support window so your team is not debugging a production issue alone. The firm owns the systems and the infrastructure they run on.

Why trust us

Built by an engineer who trades with real capital

D&T Systems was founded by an engineer who trades futures and crypto live: ES and NQ on NinjaTrader, BTC perpetuals on Bybit and Hyperliquid, with real capital, not sim. We know what a trading desk looks like from the inside, including the parts that never make it into a spec document.

We are not a fund. We do not touch client capital, and we never promise returns. Trading is hard and losses happen regardless of how good the software is. What we build and harden is the system around the edge: your firm keeps the strategies, the code, and the infrastructure.

  • 3+ years live trading across futures, crypto, and FX
  • 3+ years production software engineering
  • 10+ trading systems shipped
  • You own all code and infrastructure: no lock-in, no revenue share, software only
